BEDSIDE CAT BED PLANNING GUIDE

How to plan a cat bed beside your own.

A bedside cat bed can create a separate resting place within the room you share. Before choosing a format, compare the bed height, available floor space, the cat’s route into and out of the space, and whether the resting place will stay fixed or move between rooms. Kufucat is exploring these questions through a movable, height-adjustable concept that remains in engineering development.

START WITH PLACEMENT

Map the bedside before comparing products.

Measure the height of the nearby mattress or bed frame, then note the clear floor area beside it. Keep doors, drawers, nighttime walking paths, cords, and the cat’s intended approach route in view when deciding where a separate resting space could fit.

This is a general room-planning guide, not a safety or fit guarantee for a specific product.

COMPARE THE FORMAT

Floor-level, attached, or freestanding and raised?

A floor-level bed uses the room floor as its base. An attached shelf or clamp-on bed depends on compatible furniture. A freestanding raised design uses its own base and may be considered when furniture attachment is not preferred. Each option has different space, access, fit, and verification questions.

Check the verified dimensions, load limits, stability information, and installation requirements supplied for any finished product. Kufucat’s physical performance has not yet been verified.

THE CURRENT KUFUCAT CONCEPT

A nearby resting-space direction in development.

Kufucat is exploring a freestanding cat bed concept intended to sit beside a bed, sofa, or desk, move between shared spaces, and adjust toward surrounding furniture heights.

Target height range
19.7–29.5 in (50–75 cm); current design target, not a verified production measurement
Move-between-spaces concept
Five low-profile 360° casters are part of the current design direction; mobility performance is unverified
Single-pedal parking concept
One outer-rim pedal is intended to engage a central lock; locking performance is unverified

Questions about planning a bedside cat bed.

Measure the room, compare the format, and separate verified facts from design intent.

What is a bedside cat bed?

It is a cat resting place positioned beside or near a human bed. It may sit on the floor, attach to compatible furniture, or use a freestanding raised base.

How high should a bedside cat bed be?

There is no single height that fits every room or cat. Start by measuring the nearby mattress or bed-frame height, then compare the finished product’s verified adjustment range, resting-surface dimensions, and access design.

What should I check around the bedside?

Check clear floor area, doors and drawers, nighttime walking paths, nearby cords, furniture edges, and the route your cat would use to enter and leave the resting space.

Is a raised bedside cat bed safe?

Safety depends on the finished structure, installation, dimensions, load limits, stability, condition, and intended use. Review the manufacturer’s verified instructions and testing. Kufucat does not yet have physical safety or stability test results.
